Little Bennett Course Description

Little Bennett Regional Park in Montgomery County, MD is a 3600 acre wooded playground filled with over 20 miles of trails, picturesque streams, and plenty of camping. Bring the family and camp or make the easy trek on race day to this convenient park, located off Interstate 270 only 30 miles West of D.C. The race courses at Little Bennett follow twisty and fun singletrack hiking trails. There’s also challenging hills and plenty of stream-side running. You will not be disappointed with these awesome courses and beautiful park setting! Although a bit longer at 3.7 miles, the 5K course is our most beginner-friendly in the Blue Crab Bolt series.

Race Day Schedule

6:30am – Check-in and bib pick-up opens
8:00am – 10K race starts
8:15am – 5K race starts
8:30am – Post-race food available
9:15am – Free kid’s race *
9:30am – Awards ceremony

* No pre-registration required. We group kiddos by age and do a short out and back run for treasure.

Swag and Medals

Race 1 at Seneca Creek swag is a tri-blend t-shirt (our normal race shirts)
Race 2 at Schaeffer Farms swag is either a tri-blend t-shirt or a tech (polyester) shirt or tank top
Race 3 Little Bennett swag is either a tri-blend t-shirt or custom running socks or car seat cover

Race medals are an optional add-on for each race ($7.50 pre-order and $10 on-site). Racers who complete all three races in the series will receive a special medal at no cost.

We stage the race out of the Prescott Horse Trailer Area which is near the Little Bennett Golf Course. Please follow race parking signs from the turn off of Lewisdale Road. We park in grass fields near our staging area.

Race Rules

Portable music players or any device requiring IN-EAR head phones are not permitted.
Outside assistance is only permitted within 50 meters of an aid station.
Race numbers must be worn on the front and must be visible at all times.
There are no cut-off times.
Pets and pacers are not allowed on the course.
Baby strollers are not permitted on the course.
Respect other racers, volunteers, race staff, and the environment. No littering.
Poor sportsmanship may result in disqualification.
Racers must notify race officials if they drop out of the race.
Stay on designated trails.
